This is truly a powerful photo... great job capturing the power of a pitch.

With your permission I would like to use it here: www.sandersconsulting.com/newb…

I've dropped it in, but you don't like it being there just let me know and I will remove it.

And I've given you full credit on the page.

Thank you!

Holly cow I thought you could only do that with the 1D Mark IIN or 1D Mark III on some cold days :O This is amazing.

Yeah, I shot this with the 40D- pretty much any SLR camera should be able to pull this shot off- providing you've got some quality glass to throw on front =P -Regardless, thank you so much for the comment! I definitely appreciate the words / compliment-

You surely can't do this one with a 450D :D I tried to shoot my girlfriend's dog when we released him, after 2 weeks of staying on a leash, and holy cow that little guy was running so fast the camera couldn't get focus on him on AI Servo :O

Hmmm... what kind of lens are you using?

EF 50mm f/1.8 II
But it's not the lens. It's the body. If you put you 40D on AI Servo and focus it while slowly moving the camera away from the subject, you'll see a smooth roll of the focus ring. On my 450D, the ring rotates jerky and has a little lag. After all, your's a sports camera, while mine is an entry camera :D
My girlfriend will get an D700 at her birthday, I can't wait for that :D

That's awesome! I'm sure she will love it. You'll have to upload some pictures once you get it / start using it!

Haha! Yes I will. But it's not in her hands yet. Let's hope for the best and nothing costly happens until then, because that camera is one damn expensive piece of equipment, and there's a lot bad things that could happen until then.
After that, maybe she'll try to make money out of it, rather than 'wearing' the camera for hobby. After all, you get that much money from your parents once in a lifetime, at your majority day (don't know if it's called like that; the day you make 18 years :D).
